Ally Shuman is a Market Director serving Edina, Minnetonka, Rochester, St. Paul, Eau Claire and La Crosse, WI, Sioux Falls, SD, and Sioux City, IA. She sets strategic direction for the region while partnering closely with financial advisors to help them grow, adapt, and deliver exceptional client experiences in an evolving industry. Her leadership approach is grounded in collaboration, disciplined execution, and practical problem-solving—ensuring advisors have the clarity, resources, and support needed to build durable, future-ready practices.
Prior to joining Baird, Ally spent 11 years in progressive leadership roles at Wells Fargo Advisors, most recently as Area Manager for Minnesota. Across her more than 20-year career in financial services, she has worked side-by-side with advisors at every stage of practice development, supporting organic growth, talent development and retention, and strong cross-business partnerships. She brings a field-first perspective, balancing local market needs with firm-wide strategy and a constant focus on continuous improvement and change readiness.
In addition to her professional leadership, Ally serves as a trustee and member of the Board of Directors for the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota. This work reflects her longstanding commitment to advancing economic security and opportunity for women, girls, and families. Having built her career while navigating complex professional and personal responsibilities at an early age, Ally is deeply motivated by efforts that expand access to opportunity, strengthen financial independence, and create more equitable pathways to long-term stability. Her involvement with the Foundation allows her to contribute governance, financial, and strategic expertise in service of systemic, measurable impact across the state.
Outside of work, Ally is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, cycling, whitewater kayaking, skiing, and camping. She has served as a Sierra Club guide since 2016 and completed her first thru-hike of the Superior Hiking Trail in 2019—experiences that reflect her appreciation for resilience, preparation, and long-term thinking.
