Community Involvement
A Caring Community Partner
Baird has a long tradition of giving back in the communities where our associates live and work, and many give generously of their time, talents and personal resources to local organizations. Our associates also support annual firm level campaigns to raise funds for local and national charities. And our Baird Foundation provides financial support for causes ranging from fighting homelessness and hunger to promoting education and the arts.
Other ways Baird supports associates’ passion for giving back include Baird Gives Back Week; an event encouraging associates to team up in their communities and volunteer in a range of activities, including tutoring students, working with seniors, building homes and cleaning up parks.
Channel One Regional Food Bank & Food Shelf
For Baird Gives Back Week 2026, our team volunteered with Channel One Regional Food Bank and Food Shelf, where we packed more than 2,000 pounds of carrots to help stock shelves for the weeks ahead and support families in our local community.
Giving back is a core part of who we are. We believe that actively supporting our community fosters a culture of generosity, hard work, and purpose. It serves as a meaningful foundation for how we approach both our work and our relationships.

Rochester Salvation Army
In 2026, Baird was proud to sponsor Stand with Sam: A Benefit for the Good Samaritan Health Clinic. The clinic provides caring medical and dental services to thousands of patients each year, and our team designed the red kettle stand as an angel to celebrate the compassion and support the clinic brings to our community.
Our Baird team has enjoyed volunteering at the Salvation Army Toy & Joy Shop in 2023, 2024, and 2025. This program helps families with children ages 0–16 during the holiday season by pairing volunteers with guardians to shop for gifts, bringing a little extra joy to kids and caregivers alike.
Jeremiah Program
Our team has participated at fundraisers for the Jeremiah Program in Rochester, Minnesota. The Jeremiah Program is a charity aligned with our values at Baird and we have loved being able to help our community through this great organization.

Children’s Minnesota
Baird Foundation has partnered with Jim and Julie Galkowski in supporting Children’s Minnesota with a special emphasis on their Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Program. Children’s Minnesota mission is to champion the health needs of children and families. They are committed to improving children’s health by providing the highest-quality, family-centered care, advanced through research and education. They care for more than 3,500 patients from infants to young adults each year, more than any other Minnesota health organization.
American Cancer Society Hope Lodge
The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge program provides a free home away from home for cancer patients and their caregivers. The Rochester Hope Lodge opened in 1999 and offers 62 guest rooms. In prior Baird Gives Back Weeks, our team volunteered and organized hundreds of donated books into categories for their newly remodeled library. The Hope Lodge provides a very supportive environment for patients and caregivers and we are lucky to have them in our community.
